Although I work digitally, I can actually draw. And that's the way I start my assignments - with sketches. From there we can tweak and adjust before spending time on more intensive developments. It's fast, painless and it works.

"Will I get what I want?"

Yes. That's why I've been in business for 20 years with tons of repeat business. Art directors occasionally get nervous when an illustrator has more than one style. But that shouldn't cause you worry. (see the Digital Craftsman sidebar)

Just like when you work with your own client, I make sure I'm very clear on what you want before beginning. Then I show incremental progress to ensure that we're always on track. Secure online proofing on my server or directly e-mailed .pdf files do the trick for quality assurance.
