Sometimes known as line-art, this method of illustration is typically done with Adobe Illustrator and saved as .eps files. This means that the illustrations can scale with no loss of resolution.
Created in either black and white or full color, illustrations in this style are crisp and clean. Perfect for spot illustration, info graphics or full page and cover illustration. While this method is common for technical illustration, some very beautiful and even painterly effects can be created with this hard edge/scaleable illustration method.
Additionally, the hard edge style is perfect for creating web and application icons and inconography.
